That's right, the unofficial, unauthorized, mostly-tolerated Newsvine podcast is back!

If you don't know what the heck the Vinecast is, check out our past episodes. Long story short, it's a podcast about Newsvine. We discuss articles and seeds, current events, meta Newsvine stuff, and anything else we can think of really.

Not only is the Vinecast coming back, but you will be able to listen LIVE as it's recorded, and even join us in chat or call into the show. Fun times for all!

To listen live simply go here at 8pm EST on March 16th (next Monday), and click the button to listen. If you'd like to take part in the chat or call in, just sign up for a talkshoe.com account (it is, of course, free) and join the call when it goes live and that's it, you're in.

Viki will be returning as my co-host, but we are also looking for others to join us in the fun, either every week, or on occasion, so if you think you'd want to be a regular co-host, drop me a line at brad@thevinecast.com, or just stop in while we're recording. All are welcome so long as don't act like an asshat (and even then, if you're entertaining maybe it could slide ;) )

Of course, just because we're going to be recording it live doesn't mean you have to be there to listen, the podcast feed is still going to pull in all the new episodes, and we're listed in the iTunes podcast directory, the live stuff is just a fun bonus and a way for people to directly interact with us while it's being made and help shape the show.

So mark 8pm EST on March 16 off on your calendar, you'll be busy claiming your part of Newsvine history...or heckling us...whatever works for you. Hope to see you there!

No, calling in is free. I'll explain in detail in a later post, but there are a pile of ways to call in, at least one of which will be free for everyone, so you're pretty much covered on that front. :D

Hey Brad, it's Brenda Mayer here.

I want in on the fun, but my pc is down. All I got is an iPod without access to iTunes, as strange as that sounds.

I'll be trying, but best of luck to you all if I can't resolve my technical issues.

I'm seriously considering kidnapping Steve Jobs and Bill Gates and forcing them at gunpoint to successfully install iTunes on my pc.

why not just get the podcast from the website instead of itunes? You dont have to have itunes to listen to podcasts. You could listen straight from the PC

You can listen directly through the website, or actually call into the live recording via a phone if you want (though depending on the situation that could be long-distance)
